GM Recalls 370,000 2014 Trucks – Software Problem Causing Fires

GM emblem from vehicleFortunately GM is actively recalling new Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups due to a potential fire issue during idle before anyone gets hurt.

A software issue is causing the exhaust to overheat. The fix will be a simple reprogramming that your dealership will perform at no charge.

Owners should start receiving notices on January 16th.

In the meantime, don’t leave your truck idling unattended.
