This spacious GMC is a far cry from the farm trucks I grew up with and it’s long list of amenities brought our test 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 HD up from a base of just over $31,000 to a luxurious vehicle selling for almost $60,000.
The exterior maintains classic GMC styling with soft fairly non-distinctive side lines and a curved front grille. Chrome details stood nicely with a deep Sonoma Red Metallic paint. Also available in several other colors the most notable being Heritage Blue Metallic. First released in 2012, and reminiscent of classic engine enamel blue, this sparkled up color is going to become an updated classic.
Drivetrain options range from a Vortec 6.0 L with variable valve timing that generates 360 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. A reasonably priced diesel upgrade will add $7200 to your price tag along with a necessary change in the transmission to the Allison 6 speed at $1200 more. So while you may think twice about exactly why and how badly you need the diesel engine its performance will be a heady reward with increased horsepower(397 hp) and a significant jump to 765 lb-ft of torque.

Pre-wired for your RV or trailer brakes and fifth wheel provisions, increased clearance through an off road suspension package including Rancho shocks and underbody shields this truck is ready to roll most anywhere.
Interior options include a cloth with leather trim that is stylish, as well as full leather luxury. The SLT model has 10 way adjustable heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, 60/40 split folding rear seat giving you plenty of passenger and cargo space.
Solid connectivity and GM’s easy to use On-Star system make navigation and entertainment easy. With a built in hard drive you can pause and play live broadcasts – that means you can listen to everything we have to say as often as you like!
